WILLIAM McALLISTER WHITMER: is a psychoacoustician as well as composer and improviser. American, living in Glasgow since 2010, his practice ranges from tape manipulation to traditional Javanese gamelan, but is primarily focused on mitigating the spectrotemporal constraints of the ’ukulele with the stochastic and bombastic properties of amplification under the stage name of ‘williwaw’.
